'I have lived away from the North East for the last 38 years years but have returned to visit with my own family many times. However this time my husband and I are so please to find such a lovely place to stay at the Lookout
Already experienced wonderful seaviews..sandy.beaches...travelled on metro to jesmond dene and looking forward to seeing all our favourite places nearby by (st marys lighthouse, tynemouth priory and slightly further afield cragside, farne islands , lindisfarne and hadrians wall at housesteads).
Plus the chance to meet friends (to share these places with) and hire bikes booked from Tynemouth station to cycle between north shields fish quay and St Marys. Life is good!
Thank you for what will be a great week, in comfortable accommodation...started off by great breakfast at the boathouse here in Cullercoats. Everyome come and enjoy this all too as soon as you can.

Wonderful holiday rental
'A gaggle of Octogenarians enjoyed Bay View Apartment, the Admiral's room, and the Captain's room for a week in July. Was a wonderful place to relax and take life slowly, amazing views, whatever the weather, always something to watch and a gentle busy vibe in Cullercoats itself. Yards from Queens Head pub, cafes, (love The Boatyard and Cullercoats Coffee) restuarants, Coop, and of course marvellous beaches. Comfortable beds and chairs, great selection of games and books, and lovely linen and extras. Thanks to the owners for sorting out the TV we couldn't get going and making sure everything went smoothly.

Whitley Bay and Tynemouth have lots of nice restaurants, pubs and there is a great market at Tynemouth Station. There are also lots of scenic places to walk. Will definitely be back'

Truly wonderful holiday apartment with amazing views
'I knew of Southcliff from seaside walks. (I was born and brought up in the northeast but now live in Kent.) I chose it as the perfect place to stay to mark my 60th birthday. The views are simply the best - waves, rock pools, skies, wild flowers - and so much light! Able to host family & friends getting together and you are literally on the England coast path so there are fabulous walks/runs or bike rides from outside the garden gate. Safe swimming in Cullercoats Bay, 5 minutes away around the headland. The house has lovely decor and furnishings and a top-quality period feel. The penthouse apartment was terrific. Comfortable, spotlessly clean, everything you could need. (Better telly than we have at home!) I kept hoping for awful weather so I could spend the day staring out of the massive window at the magnificent Browns Bay'

'I stayed in the ground floor apartment for a week with my disabled husband and dog. It was perfect for us all. The owners of the apartment were so lovely and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The place is spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated with everything you would need. The view from our bay window was beautiful and the location is great being close to so many amenities. We will certainly be booking up for next year!'

'Loved the apartment we stayed in amazing sea views and even saw dolphins one morning,when we arrived our place was clean and tidy plus 5 minutes away from the metro and about 15-20 minute walk from the town centre and close to cafes and restaurants along the coast would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

'We hired the Priory Penthouse and were not disappointed! It was spacious, well equipped and had some amazing views, especially from the living room windows. The owners have thought of everything. Comfy beds with nice bedding, family games in the lounge cupboard and even a net, bucket & spade to hand for exploring the beach. As others have said the location is brilliant. An easy walk along the coast road to Whitley Bay in one direction and Tynemouth in the other and just over 5 minutes walk to the Metro Station for access to Newcastle City Centre and beyond. There are lots of local bars, cafes, restaurants and pubs within walking distance as well as options for food delivery. There is a local Co-op for essential bits and a little further away there is a large Morrisons…'
Home away from home!
'It was our third stay at Southcliff Holiday Apartments. The apartment was great - perfect for us. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, spacious, and complete with welcome wine and biscuits.
All in all, we would highly recommend this place for a holiday, working away from home or a business trip. We really enjoyed waking up to the sound of the waves.
We felt very lucky to have the opportunity to stay here. We would definitely return and would choose this over a hotel every time. Thank you!'
